Ty Segall has been releasing a series of digital singles this fall and the latest of these is “My Lady’s on Fire,” which has been heard on the tour trail over the course of 2017, quickly becoming an audience favorite with its classic pop ballad style that offers provocation to the unrighteous creators of chaos.
The late-60s style ballad encompasses a range of yearning emotions through an iridescent production blend of electric piano, acoustic and electric guitars and saxophone—the horn section really adds a special element to this new track. In fact, this could be the saxophone jammer of the year! The solo brings us to our knees. Insane or not insane, you heard it here first.
If you’re on the West Coast, you can catch Ty Segall playing solo acoustic with OCS (aka Oh Sees) and Shannon Lay in Los Angeles and San Francisco in December. He’s got a few other dates as well.
