Director Ian Durkin brings us the feel good surf flick of the year with “The Hold Downs.”
The all black and white flick boasts that old school silent film style of classic California beach boy antics mixed with modern day hot-dogging and a catchy tune. "The Hold Downs" is truly a timeless depiction of the good times that come with surfing with your friends and enjoying the coastal lifestyle. An ode to the party wave, “The Hold Downs” follows a small town surf gang as they cruise their home turf—surveying the scene, holding court at the local break and hot-dogging for any and all onlookers at the beach.
The film is part of an on-going series where Booooooom TV gives filmmakers the chance to make a film for fun. "The Hold Downs" features the talents of Trevor Gordon, Travers Adler, Tosh Clements and Spencer Gordon. You can watch it below and can check out more of Ian’s work here: WWW.IANDURKIN.COM
