After sharing the above photo with fans to announce that their rollicking band would soon be dropping some new music, LA duo Deap Vally released a crunchy new track, "Royal Jelly".
Produced by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs' Nick Zinner, "Royal Jelly" starts in slow with crawling chords against the smooth hiss of a maraca, before Lindsey Troy's sludgy guitar work and Julie Edwards' vehement drum lashes thrust you into a fit of straight heavy rock.
The gritty new single comes as a preview to the band's announcement of a new album out sometime in 2016. Deap Vally also reveal the accompanying video featuring designer, model, and fashion icon Georgia May Jagger. Deap Valley took to Instagram with the launch of the new video saying, "We got some of our closest friends together and this is what happened! Directed by the incredible [Jess Holzworth], featuring far-out make-up designs by visionary [Isamaya Ffrench], and starring our dear friend, the lovely and talented [Georgia May Jagger], here is "ROYAL JELLY". Look out for a sneaky cameo by [Nick Zinner], who produced our new record!
