"Flanget" Starring Andrew Jacobson

June 28, 2016

It seems like surf videos are getting even more gritty, offbeat and creative even though the cameras get nicer and everyone is jumping on the 4K wagon. Now, videos are being shot with Hi8's, splicing in random clips from old Nickelodeon Cartoons, and using songs from bands like Oingo Boingo, which is the case for Andrew Jacobson's newest stand out edit recapping last winter.

Flangetis the newest edit from Jacobson and videographer Hunter Martinez that featured Jacobson’s ventures across the West Coast and beyond. The clip - the first installment of a three-parter - opens with Oingo Boingo, transitions with Biggie and ends with Public Enemy.

The part is filled with some throwback clips and all around good surfing from a rad goofy foot. Watch it below.
