Jai Walsh, The Mysterious Character From New South Wales

December 19, 2017

Jai Walsh is a mysterious character from the South Coast of New South Wales. He's got a ton of quirk and some serious moves in this new welcome edit from Afends.

Afends rarely puts on new team riders, especially guys outside of Byron, purely because they've set up a family crew we like to hang out with and who relate to the brand. But when Jai was recommended by videographer Max Zappas they couldn't say no. The guy fucking rips and is an absolute legend.

Jai is a goofy footer that surfs like an energetic sloth, has air revs on lock, and can also lock into a barrel or two. His surfing is raw, a little punk, with a refreshing disregard for the traditional lines expected in quality surf. Hopefully, this is just the first of many clips to come.
