Mac Demarco Takes Us On A VR Acid Trip

August 28, 2017

Mac Demarco's new virtual reality music video for "This Old Dog" is probably the closest we'll get to understanding what it’s like to see the world through the now LA-based musician's eyes.

Created by multimedia artist Rachel Rossin, the piece takes Mac's playful sense of humor and infuses it with first generation CGI and 90's video game graphics, sending the viewer soaring to dizzyingly psychedelic heights. We follow a weirdly human-like pug through a disorienting and fragmented acid ti, eventually making our way into a McMansion that's endlessly being built around us. Yeah, we know, it's a total mind fuck.
