We loved LA art-punk duo No Age's take on Black Flag’s booze anthem “Six Pack.” It's delightfully destructive and obvious in-your-face punk cut.
Now the lo-fi duo has returned with “Separation”, a new track taken from an upcoming 7-inch single. The new track is classic No Age, with Dean Spunt's hard-slammed drums and slapdash vocals alongside Randy Randall's supremely distorted and saturated guitar. It's clumsy and sounds slightly like a smeared progression from the more polished sound they had been building towards over their last few albums.
The “Separation” b/w “Serf to Serf” 7-inch is due out sometime next month. No Age’s last album came in the form of 2013’s An Object. Listen to the new track below.
