of Montreal - My Fair Lady

July 22, 2016

of Montreal have released another single off of their upcoming LP, Innocence Reaches. The track, titled “My Fair Lady,” follows the release of lead single “It’s Different For Girls” last month.

The single laments the end of a relationship and the inevitable changes that come along with it. Pulling back at the verses, the track builds at the chorus by stacking harmonies on top of shimmery synths to flesh out the sound. The energy keeps climbing until the very end, which sees the vocal line dissolve into itself, effectively making room for a glorious sax solo reminiscent of the ‘80s.

Keep an eye out for of Montreal’s next release, out 8/12 on Polyvinyl Records.

Words: Brighton Lindberg
