Soul Juice is "transcendental psychedelifunk". Or at least that's what the band describes themselves as, and we'd have to agree with them. At times you'll find yourself spiraling into a psychedelic haze, at other times you'll become mesmerized by percussionist Lizzy Cook and Adam Upton's faint and echoey voice. Either way you'll find it irresistible to sit still.
The San Diego-based band delivers an eclectic musical blend of psych rock, funk, and jazz while their lyrics dive into the trippy world of consciousness, UFOs, love, and more. The foursome are releasing their third full-length on October 1st called Sunhaus Kiasu. The two singles that they've shared thus far, "Imaginary Space" and "Moving Pictures" have an unmistakable groove to them that is still funky but shows a more ambient side of their writing. This is guitar music without abrasion or yearning.
