Heavy rain and high winds have recently been taking aim at the South Bay of Los Angeles - Hermosa, Manhattan, Redondo and Torrance Beach. It's the time during Winter that local surfers look forward to the most; big, endless, and consistent swell.
This is Civic Couch’s second episode in its Chasing El Nino series. This episode features some of the largest waves to hit the South Bay this winter. Videographer and producer Brad Jacobson documents what the El Nino winter means for surfers, our beaches and surrounding areas. At the end of the surf season they will be combining the best clips for a full length movie. In this episode of Chasing El Nino, Jacobson catches a slew of local and pro surfers including Dane Zaun, Cheyne Magnusson, Noah Collins, Tracey Meistrell, Derek Brewer, Matt Meistrell, Derek Levy, Daniel Del Castillo, Richard Silva, Chris Wells, Greg Browning, Matt Mohagen, Easton Jones, Matt Pagan, Will Reid and others. This episode was filmed throughout mid-January,and traces waves in the South Bay region of Los Angeles.
