Paris is a densely populated and quite bustling city. Like most large metropolises, every morning, hordes of Parisians rush around the city streets maneuvering their way to work on foot, and inevitably ignoring the breathtaking architecture and cityscape they traipse around in everyday. It's easy to forget or take for granted the beauty of one's own city. But thanks to short edits like enthusiastic photographer, filmmaker and skater Alexandru Costin's new video Sans Routine, we're gently reminded to take in our surroundings and enjoy the tranquility you can find amongst chaos.
Created in collaboration with Cesar Dubroca, Sans Routine is shot in Paris at the Louvre Museum and in some other lovely places, like a serene cemetery and the area around Mairie d'ivry.
On his website, Alexandru Costin recounts the filming of this video: "I've met with Cesar in the early cold morning when everybody was rushing at work, but Louvre was amazingly peaceful and a soft warm light was blessing the place. Would have loved to make everybody stop for a few minutes from their routine and enjoy that morning as we did.
