Massive Attack's new EP Ritual Spirit is the first in a series of releases the UK outfit has planned for 2016.
After releasing their first new music since Heligoland in 2010 through an iPhone music app earlier this month, the Bristol crew have teamed up with some notable peers for a four-track release.
Fellow West Country boy Tricky appears on lead single ‘Take It There’, which comes with a video directed by Hiro Murai and starring actor John Hawkes. They’ve collaborated with hip-hop group Young Fathers on "Voodoo In My Blood", and hip-hop elder Roots Manuva on "Dead Editors", along with newcomer Azekel on ‘Ritual Spirit’.
A second EP, written and co-produced by Daddy G, is coming in Spring, with an album to follow later this year. The release was first teased in an Instagram post by 3D.
