While Jerry Hsu is mostly looking for bigger spots on his skateboard, with his photography he is rather focused on the little details. However, the principle stays the same: It’s about searching and finding things others don’t see, regardless of whether by performing a trick or taking a photo.
His exhibition, which is showing right now at the HVW8 Gallery in Berlin, therefore is fittingly titled A Love Like Mine is Hard to Find and contains a selection of pictures featuring a point-and-shoot style, which show both the tragic absurdity and the spontaneous beauty of everyday life.
