The digital revolution has changed our lives forever. Cameras are marketed by pixel count, wi-fi connectivity and any other current gimmick. But the art of analog photography with its imperfections, happy accidents, details, delays and processes has an aura which goes beyond the mightiest of megapixels.
The Film Project is new work using classic photographic techniques shot through the analog lenses of a European group of photographers in and around skateboarding. The exhibition will be traveling to venues in Barcelona, Paris, Berlin and London, supported by Volcom and select pieces will be printed in skateboard magazines in Europe. Contributing photographers include Sam Ashley, Thomas Busuttil, Jerome Campbell, Benjamin Deberdt, Florian Hopfensperger, Jelle Keppens, Henry Kingsford, Dani Millán, Patxi Pardiñas, Gerard Riera, Sem Rubio, and Danny Sommerfeld.
