The Paranoyds have been playing their whirling garage punk for years in DIY spaces throughout Los Angeles, and until a few week sago, not one solid recording by the band existed. So it seems out of nowhere that the four-piece made up of Laila Hashemi (keys, vocals), Lexi Funston (guitar/bass, vocals), David Ruiz (drums), and Staz Lindes (bass/guitar, vocals) recently dropped After You, their debut EP.
After You is a pretty raw and heavy four-song release from The Paranoyds with each song its own thrill ride, hitting hard and fast, yet weaves in moments that slow down just enough to let you catch your breath and enjoy the sludgey breakdowns.
"Bad Idea" is the first music video from the EP released by The Paranoyds, who are supposed serious horror film junkies and which influences their music.
