The xx Kick Off New Year With Killer New Track "Say Something Loving"

January 3, 2017

London-based trio, the xx, gave us a taste of their forthcoming LP I See You late last year (as in a few weeks ago) with "On Hold." It was a more shimmering and pop-leaning release, that got us hyped for what else was to come.

Now they've shared a new track called “Say Something Loving,” which is an uplifting blend of the three’s iconic electronica and indie-pop sound. Apart from releasing “On Hold” back in November, the group has literally been on hold for the good part of four years, while member Jamie xx was pursing his solo career. "Say Something Loving" builds on the promise of "On Hold" and additional album track "I Dare You," which they performed on Saturday Night Live. The band themselves have described the new album as “open and expansive” in comparison to their earlier work.
