They don't make rock and roll like this anymore. You know, that good 'ol meat-and-potatoes, beer-guzzling, rock that chugs along with anthemic drums and guitar. White Reaper is rock for rock's sake: immodest and cocky, with a hair-metal feel and unapologetic dueling guitars.
The Louisville rockers dropped an rad new animated video for the title track from their new album The World's Best American Band today. The song is a bold statement and also the band's working credo.
“We didn’t make this record or start this band because we wanted to come across in a single, certain way," says guitarists and vocalist Tony Esposito in a statement about the new album. “We just make records that we'd want to hear. We started doing this because it's fun as hell, just as much now as it was when we were 14."
Boasting textured melodies, layered guitars and more seasoned lyrics, The World’s Best American Band finds the classic rock influenced band busting out of the basement sound established on their previous full length — 2015’s White Reaper Does It Again — and setting their sights on the arena.
