San Francisco is one of skating's most storied cities. The foggy city has always stood as a global skateboarding capital, and one could easily fill stacks of books documenting the influence it has exerted over the sport.
Legendary city kids like Mike Carroll, Henry Sanchez, and Lennie Kirk reinvented skating on a daily basis in Embarcadero, and famously San Francisco based companies like Thrasher and Deluxe hold strong allegiances to Nor Cal that still exert a strong gravitational pull on some of today’s pre-eminent skaters. Even in this global era where far off places like Shenzen and Barcelona have become skate destinations, San Francisco still has a way of working its magic. Which is why HUF, a company that can trace its origins back to the city since 2002, sent a cast of their team riders to SF for their new Holiday 2015 video lookbook.
The video, shot by filmmaker Brandon Kuzma, showcases HUF’s latest Holiday apparel and footwear offerings, including classic HUF Americana inspired workwear and vintage-athletic staples, while Peter Ramondetta, Dan Plunkett, Brad Cromer, Remio, Matt Gottwig, Matt Field, Zack Krull, and Eugene Hood hit up the city's hilly spots. The new line even boasts a collaboration with legendary graffiti artist Stay High 149, consisting of a pullover hoodie, snapback, sock, pin, marker, and four tees, all of which feature the artist’s iconic “Smoker” tag.
