It’s Not Dead punk festival in San Bernardino is back for a second round, proving that the future of punk is what musicians and others make of it. The fest stands as a testament to the genre’s history in Southern California hosting a range of punk acts including headliners like Rancid and Dropkick Murphey's, and local SoCal acts like The Interrupters, Channel 3 and Reagan Youth, and also some old school heavy-hitters like The Buzzcocks, GBH, The Adicts, and Kevin Seconds; many of which who are heading to the fest to show off new albums.
The festival’s moniker, “It’s Not Dead,” is an obvious commentary on the much debated idea that punk has met its demise because it doesn’t have the widespread commercial success seen in some other genres of music, but there are more punk bands than ever before.
