Forget what other companies feed you; Palace Skateboards is actual street skateboarding. From amazing lines through crowds, cracks, cars and other natural obstacles the street throws at you, to the grainy bars of the VHS camera the crew uses to shoot their video, Palace brings out authentic 90's nostalgia and raw skating.
Palace is also one of the premier skateboarding fashion houses around the world to rack their brains for electronic tunes that go well with videos of dudes doing things on skateboards. Palace's bucket-hat wearing followers embody the skate brand's 'house aesthetic', which has been a pervasive influence on their output, including their most recent release "V Nice". Palace uses some pretty hard-to-find house music in their skate edits, creating some of the freshest feeling sections. There's no doubt Palace edits indeed benefit from their obscure house music selections – and while many filmmakers still use hip hop (it will always go great to skate sections), contemporary videos are marked by their eclectic song choices.
We did some heavy investigating to come up with the soundtrack to Palace's "V Nice" full-length that came out in early August. Some of these tracks were hard as shit to figure out, but we managed to include all but one track (Rezzett - Banana), which we were unable to hunt down a digital recording of. Enjoy below.
0:00 N-Joi - Anthem
