The War On Drugs Returns With New Song "Thinking of a Place"

April 24, 2017

Patience is a virtue. And boy have we been patiently waiting for new music from The War On Drugs. Thankfully, in conjunction with Record Store Day on Saturday, we were rewarded for three years of patience as the band's brand new song "Thinking of a Place" was released.

The track is a sprawling, 11-minute psychedelic epic, with a spacey breakdown in the middle, Adam Granduciel's vocals relaxed, but dominant throughout. It's everything fans could want from the band: trippy, atmospheric and guitar-focused.

The song is the first original released from the band since their last record, Lost in the Dream, released in 2014.
