Fast-paced, high-energy and straightforward, Vitamin X has been churning out their own brand of swinging hardcore punk since '97.
Word is that the Dutch band is currently holed up in the studio working on a new album that vocalist Marko Korac promises "is gonna blow your socks right off into the stratosphere" and which will include "several awesome and somewhat surprising guest appearances". But while we're waiting for Vitamin X's new full-length the band has given us a pretty incredible new animated video for "About to Crack", which originally appeared on their last album, 2012's About to Crack.
This video is no joke, almost ever single second of the manic and ultra fun video is saturated with hidden details that tip their hat to a gamut of punk rock references, including Lemmy crowd-surfing around :47 seconds, a visual shout-out to Thrasher at 1:16, Baroness' John Baizely setting the main skeleton character on fire at 1:00, and a hidden Milo (Descendents) poster at 1:22. There's no doubt at least one punk or skate reference pops up in each second of this thrashing video.
Right from the start this video jumps out and punches you in the face with an incredibly riveting punk and thrash sound. See how many references you can find in this just under two-minute video.
