We've been on a serious White Lung kick recently, ever since the Vancouver punks released Paradise back in May. The album, which was recently shortlisted for the coveted Polaris Music Prize, is filled with a venomous onslaught of tracks including "Dead Weight," which the band has released one hell of a video for.
After quickly flashing, “Warning: This video has the potential to induce seizures for people with photosensitive epilepsy. You have been warned” the video features Mish Barber-Way singing in her home in Los Angeles. The John Stavas-directed clip is edited so that Mish shudders violently as she sings to the camera, creating an epileptic strobe-lit effect. As Way moves through different parts of her home, the archetypal, barren décor, turns ominous with symbols of upside-down crosses, taxidermic animals and an American flag.
