Spanish Director Antoni Sendra has been cranking out mixed-media driven video projects for quite some time now. But two years ago he started an especially rad video series called, Bulletproof Thoughts, where he takes notable interviews from the past, freely interprets the context and illustrates the words in a creatively unique and modern way.
The first episode featured a 1999 interview with the late, great Joe Strummer, followed by a celestial interpretation of a 1974 Ray Bradbury interview. The newest installment features skater Rodney Mullen and his thoughts on the importance of falling from an interview in 2014.
As sound bites from the interview play, the video shows a series of illustrated scenarios that trace the inside of a skater's mind as he becomes consumed by failure, trying to meet outside expectations, and is able to find the importance of being true to himself. It’s an interesting and perfect way to present Mullen's inspiring thoughts on dispelling the fear of failure.
